The Arima Race Club wishes to inform all our stakeholders and the public of the following:

• The decision as to whether races scheduled for the Turf Track remain on the Turf Track or be moved to the Main Track is made on the morning of a race day.
• Since some horses entered to race on the Turf Track may require the administration of Lasix at least 4 hours prior to the post time of the particular race, a decision is made no later than 4 ½ hours prior to the post time of the first Turf race.

An ARC representative, the Consultant Steward, and a representative each from the Jockeys and Trainers Association walk the Turf Track and examine it and after consultation with each other will then decide if it is in the best interest of the jockeys and horses alike to keep those races scheduled for the Turf Track on the Turf Track or to have such races run on the Main Track.

After this has been done, their decision will be communicated via the CEO to the Stewards of the race day who will then make the final decision based on the information forwarded to them by the CEO and they will then advise racing officials and the public accordingly.
